Hi, You can get bath books, pop-up books for the baby and can yourself show enthusiasm in reading. Also, you, too, read in front of the baby. Kids like to imitate their elders. When kids see their parents reading, they develop their reading habits. My cousin's daughter is an avid reader and it happened when she was about the same age as your baby. They did not have a television at home and no gadgets which we generally give to our kids on our convenience, so she only had books all around the home. And she would see her with a book most of the ties when she was done with her work. So, she had no option but to grab the book to kill her boredom or monotony. And with time reading developed as a habit. She is 21 now, and she already has a library to die for, and has read so much. So, I suggest, read to her. Create an atmosphere of reading at home. And when you go to market, shop for books with her.
