How do you deal with interfaith issues?

Talk things out. Alot of people choose to sweep religion under the rug especially if it affects a relationship. I am guilty of that sometimes with my in laws. They don't know a lot about a certain faith and what they know they learn from the Internet or media which is not always accurate. Sometimes I avoid the topic altogether instead of explaining to them that religion, in general, is a good thing, and it is people and their egos who make things difficult and awkward. Trust me, talk things out. Have a frank discussion. It will make things easier.

I agree with Yuna, have an honest discussion. During which, keep an open mind and consider the points brought up rationally. Always clarify any points that you are confused about because such topics may be difficult to explain and misunderstanding may arise. Also, stay on the topic and not take things personal. It is possible to have different beliefs within a family. Being open, frank and respectful would definitely help.
