Hello. My tod is undergoing terrible 2 now and once in awhile she will keep saying she don't like mummy, don't like daddy and only wants someone else (eg aunt). How should we actually react to this? I've tried the "angry" method and ignore her but melted when she end up keep crying and saying she wants me etc. She's also at the stage where she enjoys seeing us angry and purposely do things to trigger it. I wanted to practice attachment parenting as much as possible. But things are abit tougher now as we have a 4mo with us also.

Is there any incidents happen before she said 'i don't like mommy/daddy'? Maybe you can teach her to express her feelings, example: i'm angry because mommy not allow me to watch tv/ i'm unhappy because i cannot follow daddy go to work. Then explain to her the reason (eg cannot watch tv because it's bathtime). By doing this, she'll learn to identify her feelings and also knows that you acknowledge her feelings by giving her reasons. Most of all, always remember she is very young and does not purposely hurt your feeling. It is just a social development milestone that she is practising with your guidance.

If he's in tantrum i sometimes ignore him. "Do you want someone else? Fine. Go find it" He usually feel sorry after that :)
