gestational diabetes
Hi has anyone got gestational diabetes before? How do you control it.
Me! Cut down on white carbs (ie; white bread, white rice), sweets stuffs.. Uptake more protein. I love rice and bread, so I bought low GI bread and rice. It helped keep my blood sugar level in check..
Just improve your nutrition. More protein, less processed food and vegetable oils. No street food (which is one of the most common reasons for diabetes nowadays). Exercising also good.
Low fat food is a myth! You need good fats to keep your body healthy (milk, butter, cheese, meat etc) but not vegetable oils. And I would cut down on carbs (including rice and oats).
I found out dahil sa OGTT, strict diet meal plan muna yung ginawa nung dietician. Then every after meal checking po nung blood sugar. Pina stop din agad yung pag inom of milk.
i have overt diabetes. it was detected at the early stage of my pregnancy. im on a strict diet now and im taking insulin shots twice a day. my baby is now on the 25th week.
ako din my GD pero nakalow carb ako posible daw na oky ang sugar yong insuline hormonce ang my problema need e control kaya stop nku uminum ng milk at fruits
Nung last na pagbubuntis ko 2017 diabetic ako during pregnancy pero ngaun preggy ulet ako normal ang sugar level ko umiinom ako sante barley palagay ko nakatulong sakin un.
Ilan po sugar mo sis?
I'm in the hospital now for control and monitoring. Also the doctor asked me to reduce the amount of carbs I'm taking and to minimize my food portion sizes per meal.
I had sa 2nd pregnancy but hnd n nawala after ki manganak 😅 im on my 3rd now, 20 and 16 units of insulin aq but right after manganak balik oral meds na hopefully.
Me! Just control a bit of your food intake and monitor your sugar level that they asked you to do at home. All praises to Him that my baby and I were fine during deliver.
How to check sugar level? Every morning with empty stomach? The reading should be?
