Is it a good idea to force a child to take music lessons?

I don't think forcing a child to anything is a good idea. Yes, introducing is. But, if you will force your child in doing something is eventually going to lead hi/her detest that thing the most. Remember, as a kid how we hated when we were asked to do something that we didn't want to. Even now, as adults, would we like anyone forcing things on us? No, we won't. If you have interest in music, you can pursue your interest and as a parent you can introduce your child to music. Share with child little details and information about the particular song, the genre or play music in your car at home and if your child doesn't already have interest in music, he/she may develop it. Don't push your child into thing. Let the child slowly embrace interests and new things. And with your loving guidance your child will excel and be happy in whatever he/she takes up and that can be music, dance, sports or anything. Delve and enjoy whatever your child has interest in.
