How to clean your LO ears

My girl is one year old. I washed her hair every day (with running water down her head) and I am worry about water entering her ears. Mummy any tips to share? She doesn't like me to carry her and wash her head (the way we wash for a newborn)

usually clean cloth w water soap to wipe and cotton bud to wipe behind the ear and outer ear

I just enter clean cloth and clean baby's ears very carefully after every bath.
