help needed

My girl is 8 month going to 9 months old. What are the advice for disciplinary? What is the proper age to start disciplinary?

According to my girl infant care teacher, must sound firm in saying "no, dont do that" but quite hard for me to even do that.

I start as early as 6 month old I know my girl understand.
