How to stop myself from crying easily?
this is my first pregnancy, an unplanned one. I get mood swings every now and then but this time round, it is so bad that I cry so easily for the past 2 - 3 days. basically I started feeling that it is so unfair that my lifestyle had to be changed so much. this includes stopping on smoking, drinking, eating raw food, & that big cut on drinking coffee tea coke, bbt and cold stuff. all these while my partner can just go on with his usual lifestyle. he tried, to not smoke with me. but everytime we go out with friends, it will be his cheat day. Well, we go out often. now I just want to isolate myself at home instead of watching everyone do everything that I wanted. how do I accept all these and stop crying? I'm really worried that my mood affects my baby.
I feel you, guys have it so easy I asked my husband change his lifestyle with me hahaha. I told him I feel very sad whenever he gets to eat what I canât. So now, he has been eating a pregnancy diet whenever heâs eating with me. At least, most of the time. He does get cheat days once in a while, which is ok for me. Because I see the effort he makes to follow my diet most days. Youâre very responsible, giving up the indulgences in life for your baby. But actually, eating raw food is ok, my Gynae says itâs fine as long as itâs clean. I have friends who had sashimi throughout their pregnancy and their baby is fine. Caffeine intake is about 200mg/day, which is ok for us to have a BBT or tea or 1 cup of coffee :) Iâll just buy a large cup of BBT to share with my husband, so I canât enjoy the taste without taking too much caffeine Anyway, you can do it! In less than a yearâs time you can finally indulge yourself!
Read moreI feel you. We didn't plan to have the baby either. While I do not smoke, I cannot get through the day without coffee! I also enjoy drinking alcohol and cold drinks but now I can't. It's a torture. Meanwhile my husband continues with his coffee and beer đ˘ it is tough but I will do what I can. And I stay home as much as possible so I don't get to smell the coffee at cafes or walk pass people drinking bbt. Sometimes when I get upset I ask my husband to buy me mcdonalds nugget. Lol. It's not healthy but it's not forbidden either so I will take what I can. I told myself its only gonna be 7 more months and we will have a baby. BTW being emotional is also part of the symptoms due to the hormonal change so it's not entirely your fault. Don't get too stress and upset. We are strong and we can overcome this.

I'm also a smoker/vaper before becoming pregnant. My hubby still smokes though. But I quit completely once I set my mind. I'd say it's not so easy but can be done as long as you are determined. And since I've been nicotine free, I'd like to stay that way even after my baby is borne. Being a stinky mom disgust me. You can do it! Stop thinking that it's unfair! In fact, I really think that we are lucky to be able to grow these amazing life. That's how powerful we are! hugsđ

Like me, I am doing my confinement now with c sec wound pain, breasts pain from pumping, not being able to shower and wash hair every day, not being able to eat whatever I like but my husband can get on with his normal lifestyle. However, itâs all worth it when you see your baby growing up day by day. So jia you! You are not alone. Mothers are the greatest!

you just read again what you have typed and what you were crying about and maybe youâll stop crying. Whatever it is, planned or unplanned, it is a result of your actions, if you decide to keep the baby, then just do your best, afterall, its 9 months. You can eat raw food and drink and smoke after you give birth, if you still decide to. when you see your baby, everything becomes worthwhile. just hang in there

Read moreTo be honest aside from smoking and eating raw food you can totally indulge on the other stuff. One coffee per day is fine, bubble tea is fine, cold stuff is fine. There's no evidence on these things causing adverse effects on baby. So ease up and indulge yourself more, your mental health is important too!
