Baby’s heartbeat

Hi, It’s my first pregnancy and I’m anxiously waiting for my first gynae visit in a week’s time. By then I’ll be 6 weeks+. Would like to know what are the chances I’ll be able to hear my baby’s heartbeat through an ultrasound.. Thank you.

At 6weeks+, they’ll probably only let you see the heart flickering. To hear the heartbeat, it’s best to wait till 8 weeks. Anything earlier, they’ll need to use a higher frequency which is not good for the baby.

Congratulations! the chances of hearing heartbeat is quite low, week 8 onwards will be more ideal! but still good to go see gynae for prenatal vitamins.

For me i only went for scanning at 13 weeks cause i get to know i was pregnant quite late already.Get to hear the baby heartbeat at 17 weeks.

I heard my baby's heartbeat at week 6 and the sonographer is nice enough to tell me the rpm

Depends also.. Some people they detect early.. Like mine i, i when for my 1st check up on 12weeks.

I heard my baby's heart beat by 8 weeks. It was very exciting moment .
