Hi everyone, I am having a tough 1st trimester. Feeling tired, naseau and uncomfortable stomach all the while. To the extent that I will sometimes just breakdown and cry. It is hard to concentrate at work. Any tips to make all these discomfort go away?

Hello! What you're feeling is relatively common, although not all pregnant mums will feel them. You're tired because, well, you are growing a little human! The sudden change in an additional person to provide for will take some time for your body to get used to it :) I'm guessing that being nauseous is morning sickness, nothing much you can do to prevent it - but you can figure out what helps! If you can, always bring around an emergency pack with things that might help you feel better - water bottle, umbrella, an energy boost snack, something with sugar that gives immediate energy relief (eg. Ribena), plastic bags etc. As for the uncomfortable stomach, how far along are you and what does that feel like? If it bothers you a lot, you can check with your gynae just to be sure!

If the med is causing drowsiness and affect your work, tell your gynae to issue hospitalization leave to rest at home.. I was like this for 2 preg, and my gynae issued 5 weeks hl for both... now ending my 1st tri still feel pukey at times... so trying to eat light so that even puke, it wont be the horrible food puke but rather water puke.. especially if u r at work...
