my lo is now 16 month old, but still talks gibberish. We talk to him everyday and even he is not interested we still talk. He can understand us, by following instructions and when asked sometimes he responds with gestures. But haven't hear him say a word. Is this ok? BTW, when he was born he had a tongue tie release procedure. Could this be the reason? Is there anyone here who also experience/experiencing the same? I am pressured by the people around us, always asking why he can't speak yet..
Hi Parent! That could be one of the reasons, but given his case, it's better to consult a developmental pedia the earliest possible to get the most fit treatment needed for early intervention na rin.
My son is turning 3 na po this October. Until now di pa rin sya nagsasalita like other kids his age. He can understand and obey instructions, he can tell a few words like mama, papa, no, wow and yehey, pero mumble when he tries to express or say something. What can we do po to help him speak more? We make sure na bawat ginagawa or nasa paligid nya is sinasabi namin kung ano, sino at paano. Also, do we need lang po ba to wait for him to speak straight or need na nya po ng speech therapy?
My 2 year old has a lisp. Although, she's a talker. she can talk in full sentences. Sometimes we call her radio because she keeps talking and singing 24/7. Kaya lang parang nagwoworry ako sa "S" niya. she says "th" instead of "s" kapag yung S is nasa huling letter ng word or pag nasa gitna. if she says "swimming" may "S" naman. pero if she says "lizard" she says "lithard" nakaka OC lang hehe. does it go away naturally or should I actually teach her mouth and tongue placements?
Pronunciation learning takes place when she's officially at school. For now, you can go on showing her how to properly say the sound but don't do it to show that she's wrong. Just try to produce the sound of "zzzzzzzzz" for fun with her.
my LO is already 2 years old, he can say some words pero hindi lahat ng sinasabi nya ay naiintindihan, we find it challenging talking to him, we wonder whether he can really understand us. He is born 30th of January 2021 while his cousin who is born 13th of January 2021 can converse fluently, my family is saying baka speech delay daw anak namin. what can we do to help our child sa conversation at mas maging matatas po? considered speech delay na po ba sya?
I suggest po to engage in conversations with your child throughout the day. Speak clearly and use simple sentences, making it easier for them to understand and imitate.
ako nmn po sobrang na happy sa development ni baby pagdating sa pagsasalita marami n sya nasasabi ng malinaw,he also sing with right tone..can also count 1 up to 10 clearly.Interested din sya sa paghawak ng mga music instruments in age of 2yrs old, kaya sya tlaga ung libangan nmin sa bahay sa sobrang daldal nya, lhat ng marinig nya ginagaya nya.Kaya ang bilin ko sa bahay no bad word dpat kc gnun sya as in..parang syang parrot heheh.

Yung pamangkin ko speech delayed sya nung 3 yrs old sya. As in walang buong words. Pinag speech therapy sya pero parang walang nangyari. Nasayang lang pera. Pinasok sya sa toddler class. Ayun natuto magsalita.
Kuya nya rn po is mtagal ring natuto magsalita..

Hi Parent! My son Ethan na diagnose po sya with autism at the age of 1 year and 8 months.
