My MiL becoming cold...

Ever since I'm becoming pregnant unexpectedly in my late 30s, my MiL is being cold towards me. I have a stepson (her only grandson-my husband's son from his previous marriage) who he closes to me. I can sense that she is being jealous of me. I treat him as my own son not as a stepson. But well, I treat it as a challenge during pregnancy. Still thinking of sending my unborn son/daughter to infant care once he/she borns. As I know my MiL's health condition is not so well. Right now, I am in my 18 weeks. Still working. Every month, I still giving her money. As a respect. I'm staying with my inLaws as the house belongs to my husband. I did some house chores (even I am feeling unwell due to the pregnancy) but not for cooking as my MiL does it. The kitchen belongs to her. Just need some place to expressing my feelings.

Perhaps she is wondering will you treat your stepson differently from your own child. Whatever it is, just continue be a good daughter-in-law and give her respect, which you have been doing well. Only time will prove her that you treat both your stepson and own child equally. Don't think too much and enjoy your pregnancy. You are a good wife and daughter-in-law.

I love my stepson as my own. He is such a good boy. Yes, still respecting my MiL. It's okay, I will love my stepson and my child equally. I will show her the best. Thanks for this sincere motivational words.

Stay calm momma.. Try to focus on more positive things and focus on your pregnancy. Maybe its good to have a heart to heart talk with your husband too..
