My fil doesn't even know my Son bday .. when Ple asked him how old was my little one when he was 7 Mths , my fil replied 9 Mths. N my Son is supposed to be their first n only grandson ... .. my hb just reminded my fil abt my LO's lunar bday to be in a few days I bet he can't R.E.M. Too
If u think they bo-sim then so be it. It doesn't matter whether it is the thought anot right? Anyway I don't think there anything wrong w $6. Some pple just don't bao a lot. Whether how's their finances or how many ang bao they have to give - some pple just feel that amount is ok
Are they quite tight on finance? I know what you mean even though it is thoughts that count. My in laws don't give a lot for Ang bao and for her first year birthday I don't think they gave her anything too. I will have that same thought as you but I won't let it linger long.
I don expect alot. But definitely to be honest i wouldnt expect them to give $6... not even a $10. Giving ang baos to some strangers could easily $6-$10 let alone this is first grandson.
Ya I know what you mean. But since u said that they can't rem your child name or wish happy birthday then I'm not surprised abt the $6 angbao. Maybe they r just in their own world.
