Does a newborn recognise a daddy as much as mummy? I hear babies get familiar with their mum's smell. Is this also thr case for fathers?

babies get familiar with the mum's smell because they spend a lot of time together in close skin to skin contact. also, the mum's smell is associated with breastmilk, which is very different from any other person's smell. in case of fathers, of course this cannot be the case, however, if the father starts spending mroe time with the baby, then gradually the baby will start recognizing the father's scent as well.
