I assume you are referring to preschool. I think hiring a helper is better since she can help with chores and picking up your toddler in school while you focus on your newborn.

My sister was in a similar situation. She hired a helper to lighten household loads but eventually she sent my nephew to CC few weeks before baby 2 comes.

If you hire a maid, she can help take care of your todd and help with household chores.

It’s your preference but I would prefer to hire a helper
