Is a detailed pregnancy scan mandatory or optional? Having 1st child at age 30.

My clinic in Klang charges RM500 for detailed scan and to fill out the prenatal insurance form. Thinking of going other private clinic. The rm500 seems wildly expensive, compared with Sonovision.
