To be honest, for the first month I’ll kill anyone who feed my baby water, and I’ll stare down anyone who would suggest giving water to my baby. But eventually I succumbed to it when my baby did not poo poo for 3 days occasionally. Then, I tried giving my baby around 5 sips everytime before a feed. From that day onwards he poo beautifully every day. I was still worried and decided to admit to my baby doctor, a pediatrician specialist in a well known private hospital. He said ONLY if my baby is on purely formula milk and is constipated, it’s ok to give only a few sips before every feed. If he’s on breast milk no need for water at all. Also ensure water is always cooked even if you are using it for formula milk. Just my 2 cents.
