Hi, I would recommend to start at 3 years old. This is because their attention span is longer and better at following teacher's instructions during class. There are community centres (CC) in neighborhood offer pre-primary Ballet program for preschoolers. They learn rhythms and basic ballet postures through children songs and rhymes. The ballet offered by CC is much cheaper compared to private centres. There will be ballet examination when they progress to Grade 1 Ballet. My daugther joined ballet at CC for 2 years since she turned 3 years old. I will let her to continue as long as she has interests in learning ballet. I chose to let my daugther to learn ballet at CC mainly because the fees is affordable and due to its convenient location, which is within walking distance. You may want to search if there is any nearby CC offers ballet program at one.pa.gov.sg
