Hey there! I totally understand how you're feeling, but please don't blame yourself or feel guilty about this. It's completely normal for babies to spit up, and it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your breastmilk. Every baby is different, and some may have a more sensitive tummy than others. It's great that you're reaching out for support. You're definitely not alone in facing this issue. It's possible that your baby might be having trouble digesting something in your breastmilk, like lactose or certain proteins. This can cause discomfort and lead to more spit-ups. Also, breastmilk is easier to digest than formula, so it could be that your baby is getting too much milk at once and feeling uncomfortable. One thing you can try is to feed your baby in a more upright position and burp her more frequently during and after feeding. This might help reduce the amount of spit-up. You can also try smaller, more frequent feedings to see if that makes a difference. If you suspect that your baby has an intolerance or allergy to something in your breastmilk, it's best to consult with a pediatrician to get a proper diagnosis and guidance. Remember, you're doing the best you can for your baby, and feeding formula doesn't make you a failure. Ultimately, what's most important is that your baby is fed and thriving. Don't hesitate to seek professional advice or talk to a lactation consultant for further support and guidance. You're doing great, mom! Keep up the good work. https://invl.io/cll6she
Hi. Do you freeze your BM? I guess alittle spit up is fine. My baby does spit up too, and now I’m feeling that my baby prefers formula over BM from the way she finishes her milk. She is on BM in the day and FM at night. When I give her BM, she doesn’t finish them, it will take her 2/3 times to finish a 100ml milk. Each time she drink 40/60ml and I will keep the remaining back to the warmer and then give again within an hour. During the night or when we are out, she can finish her FM at one go, or only some leftover. She sometimes still does drink only 40/60ml of FM, cannot finish at one go like BM. But for BM it’s all the time leh I find it.. Please don’t feel like a failure! I just felt sad cuz I pump so hard yet she prefers FM 😅 what you eat does matters but I don’t think that’s the case because I eat very well for my confinement (she is now 2months, and I froze my BM since then).
Update: I've found out that it isn't because baby spit up more or is restless after drinking my breastmilk. She is just hungry more often and hence would cry angrily(because I didn't know she's hungry) , which leads to her spitting up. Now that we feed her every hour, she's fine and drinking well
for breast milk mommy should try to avoid spicy food.eat more protein and fruit.also make sure not take drink or food can make baby bloated tummy
