That’s already the 50th centile of birthweights in Singapore. So as long as baby starts crying well at the time of birth, there’s probably no need for ICU. Please follow your doctor’s advice for earlier delivery because of the low AFI if that was what you were told
Please follow your gynae’s advice. Many babies do well at 36 weeks. Low AFI means the water level in the water bag is not enough, so your gynae must have reasons for wanting baby to come out earlier. It’s probably safer.
