Which is worse?

It’s advisable to talk to your kids at their eye level. So shall I bend down and hurt my lower back or shall I squat and hurt my knees? ?

This is a technique to get their attention by looking into their eyes to get them to acknowledge you. If either is painful, find a position that is less so. E.g. sit in a chair at or near eye level.

Talking to them at eye level is just a way to make them feel comfortable, hoping they'll listen intently. If can't bend or squat can always sit or carry them or don't heed this advice at all.

Hi, Talking to them at their eye level makes them feel that you have the full focus at them hence creates a difference. But you can always put the child on your lap and talk to him :)

Just sit down on your sofa and let your kids sit down too then have that chat with them or if you are disciplining, sit on sofa and kids stand in front of you

Have your child on your lap, prop them up on a cushion if need be. Hope this helps!

You can sit on sofa though. I think bending down is worse then squatting

Eye level gives them the assurance that you’re not just nagging them.

Sit comfortably somewhere and then talk! Don’t hurt yourself

Hi. You can do it sitting down on a low chair or on the floor.
