my 14mo was hospitalized and doctor issued MC for Hospitalization Leave. I am just curious, as the caregiver together with him in hospital, does that mean I can take Hospitalization Leave, or should it still be Childcare Leave? my understanding is we do not need to produce MC for CCL

You can only apply for child care leave. No need to produce MC but just got to fill up the form under MSF for the 6 days non-MC usage. Since your child had been hospitalisation leave, maybe you can check with your HR if they have infant hospitalisation leave to cover. Hospitalisation leave is only for you.

It's cc leave not your hospitalisation leave. The reason for them to give ur kid HL is for either insurance claim or childcare Centres as they will need it for recording purpose.

Child care leave as it's your child who was hospitalized not yourself.
