How will taking TCM to conceive affect my child's development as opposed to a child who was conceived without the use of TCM?

Is there a difference? I thought TCM, like other methods of fertility medicine will help you conceive but after that, you'd still need to take similar precautions like every other pregnant mother. I tried to Google this issue as I am very intrigued by the issue but I can't find anything concrete. The closest would be this article about how the nutritional needs of an expecting mother and her growing child is viewed differently through the lenses of TCM. Are there any studies to show that TCM has any effect on fertility?

I haven't personally read any scientific research done regarding this but I have heard of so many success stories. Even people in the West, who don't necessarily come from this traditional medicine background, have turned to acupuncture and other aspects of TCM and have experienced success in conceiving. What type of herbs would you recommend to increase fertility rates and what is the best method of consumption for a woman and for a man?

There isn't herbs that can be recommended in a foru as it is not safe to do so. It is best to seek the medical advice of a TCM practitioner to have your own concoction as it is meant to be tailored to your needs and not some over the counter remedy like cough medicine just take - there is more specifics into it and I hope you understand. Riding on that note, the bodily systems and requirements of the male and female thus needing different concoctions to supplement and help. It. Do note that I use the word concoction as it is usually a mixture of many different herbs. Moreover, women body go through different phases of the menstrual cycle and thus need different concoctions at different phases. It is absolutely irresponsible and useless to take herbs without a proper consultation. By the way, the best method of consumption is to cook the herbs in a pot the traditional way, but nowadays a more convenient way is the powdered versions where u mix them together and add water and drink

What medicine should a child below the age of 5 years old NEVER take?

Anything that is not prescribed by the doctor, for sure. As for over the counter medications, I'd only use the specific ones made for kids. I know some parents will use the adult versions out of convenience but they will give a smaller dosage to their kids but I find this very risky. Therefore, I am very strict about only using medicine made strictly for kids and stuff the doctor has prescribed.
