Urine after a csection

Hi Mummies, sorry beforehand for the weird question 😅 but i just had a csection 6 days ago. Ive been drinking plain water only and been eating healthy too. But my urine hasnt been as clear as it was before, its almost a dark yellow/orange colored. Anyone been through this before or is it just me? Is it something that i should go and consult a doctor about? #pleasehelp

Csect Experience

Hello mummies! Can anyone share with me your experience with csect? Im having one in a few days time and really nervous 😢 1) How long does the surgery usually take? 2) Is recovery really long/bad compared to normal delivery? 3) Are we supposed to put on the abdominal binder as soon as surgery is over? Idk why but it sounds so painful if its just a day after 😂

Hi! I had an unplanned c sect 3 weeks ago. Do take note of epidural side effects, I had itching, shivers and vomited after my epidural but all’s good other than that. C sect will take about an hour, baby should be out by 20mins. Recovery for me is smooth so far, was given regular pain killer and I started walking as soon as my urine catheter is out. Just take every medication that is given to you in the hospital regularly including stool softener which didn’t taste good. As of now I have no pain and I did not get the abdomen binder as my pain was bearable but you might wanna get it if its really bad for you. My wound is closing up nicely too.

Induction @ KKH

I’m a sub patient at KKH getting induced on Sunday. Is my husband allowed to stay with me from the start of my admission?

Yes husband is allowed in the delivery suite from the point of admission.

Medisave hospital bill

I was discharged last week and i forgot to go to the KKH admission centre to sign the Medisave form for my hospital bill. And i just received the bill today. Can i still pay the amount via medisave?

You may want to call KKH to enquire. By right before birth you can do pre admission which is the booking of bed, that's when you can actually sign all the necessary form require like using of medisave as well as insurance.

Baby’s dry skin

Hi mummies. My little one has dry skin and red patches - I am so worried and keep wondering why is it like this - is it the detergent? Moisturiser? Soap? Etc Any mummies with recommendations on how to help baby with such sensitive skin? :( Pls do share the brands and products you use, medicine you use! could be baby is feeling warm from swaddle. try turning on aircon to see if it helps? my LO had some rashes appearing ytd morning. started turning on the aircon and the rashes are disappearing

Hi Mummies, i just had csect 4 days ago and im supposed to take off the waterproof bandage myself after a week. Just noticed this morning that there was some blood, not alot but just a few dots. Is this normal or should i see the doc?

Induced and in pain

In the hospital right now. I was 39 weeks 6 days and had contraction, went to hospital but doctor check and i still haven dilated yesterday. Choose to induce as baby movement getting lesser and wouldn’t want to keep him in for another week in my tummy. Get induce at 3pm, contraction starts again from 8pm and it gets worse. Told nurse i need pain relief at 2plus, doctor check and still haven dilated. Get injection but it doesn’t work. Now waiting for 3pm for doctor to see and will insert new one for another 6hours. Any advice or sharing any experience?

I was induced at 10pm and next day at 11am only 3cm dilated. And remained 3cm dilated till night. Baby started to be in distress and Dr recommended for c section as my progression was slow. To me, as long as baby is safe I don’t mind doing whatever it takes to get her out safely. If your gynae recommends an emergency c sect too, you should prolly consider. Maybe you can start thinking about it in in case the extra 6 hours you do not dilate as much as they would like you to.
