Infant care or family?
Hello working mummies! Do you guys intend to send your babies to infant care or to your in-laws post your maternity leave? Any sharing of past experience on which is a better option for you is most welcomed!
Decision to send baby to IFC was made even before I gave birth. Took extended maternity leave for another 1.5 months before sending my babygirl to IFC when she was 4 months old. No doubt she kept falling sick; first few weeks was tough. Mum guilt and all, but got to have faith (and trust) the caregivers/teachers. I don’t trust my MIL to care for my baby cause she doesn’t know how (eg. feeding, bathing, diaper change) and always saying she’s tired. At least in IFC, baby gets to socialise and play. I make up for “lost time” with baby during dinner, shower time, and before bedtime.. and also over the weekend.
