Babies are learning to grasp objects, so they are going to drop things pretty often. If baby drops the same object twice in a row, it is time to pay more attention to them as they are trying to get your attention. My son loves dropping his teether on the floor. I will pick it up and make sure to let him know that he should not drop it. There are times where our eyes meet, he will deliberately drop the toy on the floor and held his hands up. This means that he wants up! But do not let this behaviour become a habit, after picking the toys up for them maybe say twice, remove the toy. So that they will know that when they drop it, it will be taken away which will stop them from doing it.

It's natural. They like to throw stuff and pick it again. Adult also indulges with baby and like to play sometimes. Take this as child development stage where they pick observe and drop objects, Look their emotion at that time, You will definitely enjoy. Let your child play and learn from it. Note: Prevent your child from throwing expensive stuff :P

Babies are curious little creatures! They enjoy seeing the process of adult picking it up and pass to them. And the adults reaction to them constantly picking up things. Try to divert the attention to something else which they can focus on. eg. - Opening and closing.

I think dropping stuff is a natural part of baby's development.
