When is the right time to apply a stretch marks cream? and is there any particular brand that I should use?

You can begin using a moisturising stretch mark cream or oil designed for pregnancy early on in your pregnancy. Massaging the appropriate cream and oil into your belly, breasts, hips and thighs will help to increase blood flow, reduce the tension on the skin and improve elasticity, so why not start early? Traditionally popular brands that mommies rave about include Palmer's Cocoa Butter, Bio Oil and Clarins. Most of my friends uses Bio-oil and they started as soon as they see their bump growing. Also, remember to apply on the sides of your bump and thighs (often overlooked). I've heard mixed reviews on bio-oil but worked for my friends. Available at Guardian, Watsons, Unity, Robinsons, Metro.

I used Bio oil from around the 4 month mark in each pregnancy and I didn't get any stretch marks. I've also heard that cocoa butter is good, as is coconut oil - even olive oil.

You can start applying anytime you wish to. There are many brands out there in the market, you just have to find one that works for you.

I started using it since the end of my first trimester, I use elemis camilla oil and currently trying clarin stretchmark control

Prevention is better than cure, as early as you can! Use coconut oil! It's moisturising and and chemical free!

I used bio oil... Very little stretch marks, that said, could be all in the genes

thanks
