When can we introduce ice cream to LO?

I didn't introduce my kids to ice cream until after 1... and that also maybe a handful of times a year. Instead of giving commercial ice cream what I did was blend fruits with yogurt and put them in popsicle trays. You can make a variety of flavours and it's so delicious for those hot days.
