Review of dr liana koe 👨⚕️
Hi, has anyone engaged dr liana koe as gynae before? How much does the delivery cost?

If you're choosing the pro-natural route, I highly do NOT recommend Liana Koe. 3 years after giving birth to my firstborn (and now waiting for the birth of my second), I still feel disappointed with how Dr. Koe and her team handled my delivery. Despite telling her I wanted my labour to be as natural as possible, she pushed for medical induction at 37 weeks so we would have a rough gauge on when baby would come. I was already 2cm dilated then and baby was growing super well with no complications. No idea why she kept pushing for induction. She also completely ignored my birth plan and did not relay a single bit on information to the nurses on duty. As such, I had a birth story that was very different from what I envisioned. The nurses kept doing cervical checks despite me already indicating to minimise it on birth plan. The worst was when I was basically forced by Dr. Koe to be medically induced with pitocin only after having been in early labour for 4 hours. Her excuse was that I was GBS+ and we has to speed up the process. Despite me knowing that there is only 1% chance of GBS transferred to baby and that having taken the antibiotics which would mean the chance is 1 out of 4000, she refused to give me the time to dilate naturally. The result? Fast, intense and relentless contractions that come after.. Had it not been for my hard work at practising my breathing techniques, I would not have survived the pitocin-induced contractions without epidural. Just fyi, pitocin is basically synthetic oxytocin that simulates contractions but WITHOUT also having the pain relief hormone, endorphins, that natural labour contractions come with. That's why most women have to succumb to epidural when they're given pitocin. Thank goodness, I had done lots of breathing exercises and did not think of the epidural as an option. Nurses also then clamped my feet up when I was 10cm dilated, but despite knowing my body hadn't gone through the fetal rejection reflex, I was forced to push while holding my breath. Again, instead of the open glottal breathing down technique that I has practised for months. I ended up with a second degree tear and am still experiencing pelvic floor pain due to this.. Definitely not the natural childbirth expenrience I had expected. If you're wondering about alternatives, Dr Paul Tseng is a great one, as well as is Dr Candice Wang. Both are very pro-natural and super attentive to not only your needs but your preferences for your own labour..
Read moreI’m also a FTM, at 38 weeks now and currently with dr liana koe since the start. I would recommend her based on my experience so far because she is detailed and factual in her explanations, doesnt push you towards a certain opinion for eg natural vs csect. shes happy to answer all your questions as well, and her staff team is very caring and professional. she has packages too which makes things more affordable. wrt when to visit gynae, i think 6-8 weeks is fine, unless you experience any bleeding or anything abnormal prior then best to come in ASAP

Was given an appt to see the gynae when I'm 7 weeks 😊 If there's no blood discharge or weird feeling during the 2 week wait, shld be ok to see gynae at 7 to 8 weeks. But if intuition say smth is wrong, just quick go see doctor

I went to see my gynae at 5 week 5 day, ultrasound result is baby is 2mm and already have heartbeat. Gonna have another ultrasound appt around 8 week. Do note that your calculation and ultrasound week calculation from your gynae will be slightly different. According to my gynae, mine was slightly earlier than what I thought.
