When can we introduce ice cream to LO?

I didn't introduce my kids to ice cream until after 1... and that also maybe a handful of times a year. Instead of giving commercial ice cream what I did was blend fruits with yogurt and put them in popsicle trays. You can make a variety of flavours and it's so delicious for those hot days. I will try to delay letting my LO try ice cream as I don't want my baby to get too used and addicted to sweet foods. Before 1 year old I will refrain from doing it. After 1 perhaps you can let her have a lick or two. I agree with the above post about giving healthier choice snacks like fruits Popsicles or plain no sugar yoghurt.

Ideally if you follow the no salt no sugar no oil rules for the first year weaning, after one year old you can give to your LO to try. I waited till 18 months and gave LO to try just a lick only and she didn't want it thereafter. Subsequently, whenever I offered, she may not always want it.

U may wan to consider healthier options like real fruit popsicles? Blend fresh fruits n freeze them into popsicles ☺ Then u can intro after 6 mths. Good for teething babies n BLW

Definitely after 12 months as prior to that no salt, sugar, oil, seasonings
