Abc at 8 months old

when did your baby learn abc? . He still can't say ABC but can recognize the letters very well. I don't know if its too early for him to recognize it smartly. I made the letters out of cards and then we play the "get me letter A or B or C game" He gets it correctly. Everytime I say get letter A he'll get it right sames goes with B and C.
