Babies crave routine! So it's best to set a timeframe especially during nap and sleeping time. You can also use certain paraphernalia so they can learn to associate things with sleeping time. I have this lullaby projector. In the morning after some playing/watching time, my baby shows signs of sleepiness so I play the lullaby song. This signals that it's his nap time. Then at night, I clean him 30 mins or 1 hr before going to bed and play the lullaby song. I dim the lights and that's it. He sleeps the very same time every night of his life :) Make sure to tidy your baby ahead of time (before he gets too sleepy) because this may trigger crankiness. Sharing with you a pic of my sleeping bubba :)

Tips that are commonly given to put babies to sleep: 1. Establish a soothing routine. 2. When your baby is getting sleepy, put your baby in his or her crib in a quiet, darkened room. 3. Don't rock your baby to sleep after about age 4 to 6 months. Rock your baby, but lay the baby down to sleep while he or she is drowsy but still awake. 4. Don't add cereal to your baby's bottle. 5. Put your baby down for a nap as soon as he or she gets sleepy.
