Toddlers and cinema

It largely depends on your child, I know of some parents who bring their kids to movies as young as 2-3 months old - but my son only went to a child-friendly movie screening (special ones at cinemas just for kids) at probably 1.5 years old and he came out crying 20 minutes later because he got too upset that the characters were yelling at each other ... Hmmm.
