What's the most effective way to help a child of an OFW stay encouraged even if that parent or both parents can't guarantee constant communication for some work reasons?

I will tell the kid that his parents are our nation's modern day heroes. They're really working hard for him and the country. There will be busy times but don't think that they're not minding you. Every second at work, for sure they're thinking of you and your future. I will also suggest to drop his parents messages on FB and keep tagging them of his pictures so they won't feel homesick.
