At 6 mons! :) It's the first trick that we taught her. I actually have her video doing so and everytime I watch it, I can't help but laugh cause as they say "the struggle is real" hahaha. And seeing those tiny little fingers. aahh. Still melts my heart :')

If I remember corretly, my baby's first close open was at 7 months. Literally close open. She just closes and opens her hand and that's it, she'll not repeat it. Btw, her grandma taught her that.

My youngest started doing it as early as 4.5 months but my eldest never went through this phase. I guess it varies per baby and nothing to worry about if your baby isn't doing "close-open" at all

Aww, adorable! Hoping to see my baby do the close-open, too! My niece did hers when she was about 8 months. Pretty late, but at least she learned how to do it.

My daughter did it at six months, however, you only have to say "close open" 3x. She won't do it beyond that. She actually prefers clapping than close-open.

Our baby was able to do it at 8 months. I guess it will depend when and how often you teach your baby. :)

My baby started doing the close around 5 to 6 months.

7months up to now he can do it
