What are some of the must have child safety precautions in house with a 3-5 yrs old around?

No loose/live wires running around (for fear of getting tangled/electrocuted), no sharp edges and things (tables, scissors etc), no substances/materials that could harm you when ingested (ESPECIALLY MOTH BALLS - they look so pretty and colourful), and no plastic bags or any other items that your child may get stuck in :)
