What age should baby use pacifier

What age/month should I start to introduce pacifier to my baby? Is it necessary? What are the pros and cons?

Not necessarily mi still depends on the parents. Nung preggy ako I bought 2 paci but now my baby is 3 mos old na i didnt give it to her
