pacifier or no to pacifier?

mommies what are your thoughts? i hv a 3month old and everybody around me thinks i should introduce baby to a pacifier. i mixed feed, sometimes baby prefers my boobies over her bottles, sucks on it like a pavifier til she falls asleep. is that bad? everybody thinks so. I'm a stay at home mom and tbh i dont mind cos im reluctant using a pacifier cos of its side effects, i. e possible ear infection, teeth and gums problems and less bonding with me and my daughter.
