What age should baby use pacifier

What age/month should I start to introduce pacifier to my baby? Is it necessary? What are the pros and cons?

as early as newborn hours old pa lang pwede if gusto mo at ni pedia. sa case namin ayaw ni pedia at di inaallow sa hospital kung san ako nanganak dahil magkakaproblem kami sa bfeeding tried using it nung 2months (ok na si baby no nipple confusion na) pero di nya type ang pacifier. nipples at thumb nya, sapat na.. depende rin kay baby mo mamsh.
