At what age should you let your daughter wear makeup?

i don't think they need makeup unless they are in their mid-teens or so....and even then very basic. my 10 year old wears basic makeup when she has her dance performances, but hates it. washes them off immediately when she reaches home. i myself love makeup, so my daughters know all about it, but they look it as more of a grown up thing thankfully.
