Hand me down

Just want to ask, any pantang on when to give baby hand me down to new mother? Cause I rmb that I heard somewhere on not to give before baby is born. Anyone who know such pantang, appreciate your sharing. Thanks!

I don’t know when to give but I am blessed with quite a few hand me down clothes and toys from my cousin before baby is born. That gives me enough time to sort out the items and see what else I’m missing (need to buy) and have time to wash and sterilize them before lo use/wear it. After baby is born, you will be too overwhelmed and tired to sort things out..

Never heard of that but I will be more than happy to receive the hands down stuff. Saves money especially baby's clothes where they will outgrown fast
