For preschool level, I believe it is easier to homeschool them as compared to elementary and secondary levels. For me, I feel overwhelming to handle housework and kids' studies at home. Instead of having stresses in preparing learning materials and lessons, I would rather let my kids to attend schools and I do my part as their mother. I do not wish to handle so much stresses and explode one day. However, I do not mean you can delicate all the teaching responsibilities to the teachers in the school. For me, I will coach my kids additional lessons based on their interest in life. The other reason is I also need a short break from my kids to have a ME time and to recharge so I have more energy to spend time with my children after their school. If you feel you can juggle and manage the responsibilities as a mother and a home teacher, you can surely homeschool your kids.

Off the top of my head, some pros and cons I can think of: Pros: 1) Freedom. For parents, they don't have to plan their days around exam period, school vacations, school hours etc. For the kids, emotional freedom from possible negatives like peer pressur, bullies, competition. 2) Stability during times of change: When there's a tragedy or a serious illness, a new sibling, a move -- homeschooling can help ease the transition. 3) Being with the children 24/7. Cons: 1) Being with the children 24/7. 2) Child's limited opportunities to be with other children outside the family. 3) Brief loss of income if both parents work because often, one parent will be at home. If not, getting a private home schooling tutor will not be cheap.

That's totally a personal choice. Personally, I would not favor homeschooling as I believe kids need to enjoy the school life, friends, teachers, competitions. They learn all the positives and negatives of life from school. They make friends for life. Rest many people do homeschool their kids and are happy.

Normal school. They learn how to interact with other people, learn important things like tolerance, patience, adapting , what they like and what they don't and to deal with life outside their comfort zone.

I am a homeschooling mom and I can honestly say that it is the best decision I did for my children. I enrolled them at VCIS and we use the Bob Jones University press materials :)

Your kid will have to exist in society so... that means socializing. Which means school is best. My two cents
