Taking deep breaths. It may sound simple, but it does have a physiological effect: it gives more oxygen into the bloodstream, which then makes you calmer. Once you're calm, you will be able to see things more rationally to be able to deal with them. It's also important to always keep the communication lines between you and your husband open. One of the pillars of a good marriage is communication. Whenever you're having an argument, it's always important to see things from your spouse's perspective and really understand the way the perceive things.
I strongly agree with Jared. Taking deep breaths helps a lot in managing your temper. When I was single, I used to be hot-tempered most of the time, but when I had my own family, I have tried to adjust my ways for my husband and kids. It would also help to keep silent until you know you can handle the situation well without having to argue with one another.
I think it's best that you take a breather. What I do is I lock myself in a room to just help myself think through the situation. Most of the time, I realize the irrationality of my actions so it's really best to deal with yourself than lashing your emotions to others.
I try my best to resolve it with hubby one issue at a time so it doesn't pile up. I also have to leave the habit of saying I'm ok when I'm really not. Instead, i have learned to acknowledge my anger and keep it at bay so i won't have to explode and make matters worse.
Maybe try marriage counseling. There's been hundreds of successful marriages that were saved because it. Maybe through a help of a professional you and your partner could communicate better and resolve any problems in the marriage.

Don't say anything if you don't have anything good to say at all. I remember this all the time whenever there's a thickening tension between me and my wife. Luckily, I'm still able to pull this off
