Should you avoid pets when you are pregnant? 🐶🐱

I have dog at home even b4 having bb. dog is family and is my eldest son... my 2 human boys are okay with their fur brother around them... my dog will also sleep near them when they sleeping just like protecting them. when ppl carry my boys, my dog will bark till those ppl return us my 2 human boys as if to tell them, don't anyhow carry. only my MIL kao pei say dont even look at dog picture, etc coz scare babies will look like dog... I shoot her off ....
