Should you avoid pets when you are pregnant? 🐶🐱

we know our own pets & child behaviours the best. i will not allow my child to be near my pets until he learns to be gentle with my furkids. accidents usually happen when the child triggers something and others would blame the pet for behaving like an animal. both should always be under adult supervision when they interact and we should never let the child get in contact with pets' poops & pee. other than that, both can be absolutely good buddies! it teaches the child to be kind and gentle.

I have dog at home even b4 having bb. dog is family and is my eldest son... my 2 human boys are okay with their fur brother around them... my dog will also sleep near them when they sleeping just like protecting them. when ppl carry my boys, my dog will bark till those ppl return us my 2 human boys as if to tell them, don't anyhow carry. only my MIL kao pei say dont even look at dog picture, etc coz scare babies will look like dog... I shoot her off ....

allow of course.still give birth to a healthy baby without any asthma or eczema. during pregnancy and these covid period staying at home its just me and my dog everyday.and no problem encounter. it's just the hygiene that you yourself have to take care and mindful irregardless of dogs or virus...

No scientific logic between human pregnancy coexisting with pets. In fact, furry pets should increase happy hormones and release stress, better than watching Netflix or Disney. The concern should just be time management taking care the babies (human and pet) and mummy herself.

Definitely allowed. Pets make me happy and they are family. I may have been extremely depressed in my first trimester if I didn’t have them with me. However, those who don’t have pets and are unfamiliar with animals may wish to avoid. To each their own!

Not going to abandon my rabbit when baby’s here! They are both my babies. I avoid playing with strays though!

Those without pets or not familiar with pets will say avoid. I have 2 dogs, and it is totally fine.

I was told to avoid cats,. but till today I don't know why? haha we had a dog at home when I was pregnant .
