Baby at 8m26d not yet learn to sit up on her own
Hi, should I be worried if my baby haven't learn to sit up on her own? We lay her on her back she would cry for us to lend her our fingers to hold and get up.. She is trying to crawl now (only 3 steps) and using us to stand up but still worried she is not learning to sit up on her own
The first way she sits up on her own should be from her tummy actually. You can continue tummy time and encourage her to go from that position to sitting. Getting up on her own from the lying down position comes much laterRead more

- Hi my baby is almost 3mths. She constantly wants to sit up and will cry if we don’t help her up. Is this normal?
My baby was really active too. Even at 6 weeks, she wanted to be held upright so that she could look around everywhere 😂 Your baby’s curious and doesn’t want to lie down all the time. That’s perfectly okay:) She may also want to be carried and cuddled because she’s more aware of what’s happening now, and she also recognises you:)A
- Hi mummies.. My lo is turning 5 months soon. Able to hold her head up and flip over. Now she is just in that phase of trying to sit up.. I am only intending to start her on solids at 6 months if she is ready.. However I am just wondering can i make her sit up on a highchair now? Will it hurt her back or cause any issue? Just want to let her join the family in the dining table to get some exposure to the food and family mealtime.. ?
Doesn’t hurt:) I started training my LO at 4m+ actually, since her neck control was very good. I put her in the high chair, hut my chair also has a 5-point seatbelt, so it was very good and keeping her secure and upright (occasionally needed to prop her up a little). By the time I started her on solids, she was already much more comfortable and used to sitting in the chair:)JSB Hema
