Biggest challenge sa amin, January 5, 2024 our baby was diagnosed with pneumonia.

Share ko lang po progress ng pneumonia ng 9 month old baby namin for guidance and awareness. Please respect my post. Baby during this time was 90% vaccinated, measles vaccine nalang ang kulang this month. January 5 at 8:00 a.m. we arrived at the hospital and was advised for admission. January 5-6 nag antibiotics na si baby through IV. January 7 his pedia pulmonologist advised us to put our baby sa ICU for monitoring kasi ayaw nya raw sa nakikita nya sa X-Ray thereby diagnosing our baby with a Pneumonia and worst may asthma pala si baby. January 8 was referred to another Pulmonologist, waking us up as to the seriousness of our baby's situation, she told us that our baby is going thorugh a acute respiratory failure, and his pneumonia was class D (high risk), anytime our baby's health might deteriorate and gave us a choice to imtubate our baby and prepare for the worst or just accept the fact that we may say goodbye to our little one. Buti nalang nag repeat x ray si doc at may improvement ang lungs ni baby, so she decided to put our baby into a High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy. January 9-11 Our baby responded well with theraphy, nebulizations and the additional antibiotic given by the new pulmonologist, slowly gaining his awareness to the sorroundings, liveliness and strength. January 12 we transferred to a regular room oxygen set at 8 liters per minute, and pinapa comtinue pa ang nebulization for his asthma. January 13-14 tinatry na sanayin si baby without his supplemental oxygen until na kaya na nya and his lungs are doing great na. January 15, discharged na kami Thank God, to the Doctors and Nurses, we really felt their sincerity and compassion towards or child, Filipino Nurses are the best. Realization, we must not let anyone hold our baby, lalo na pag nagki kiss pa, prevention is better than cure po talaga, hayaan nyo na maging strict or arte sa paningin nang iba kesa si baby ang mag dusa. Above all, I give glory to God, for during our lowest times we felt that He never leaved us and that He is there comforting us, when all our hope disappeared, we prayed to Jesus and he answered! What a faithfull and loving God he is. Thank you for reading! #Lagnat #UboAtSipon #Pneumoniaawareness #preventionisbetterthancure
