How to motivate an 8 year old kid with his studies?

Sabi nila dapat bago mag 7 years old ang bata ay naayos na natin sila.. Pero what if tingin mo nagawa mo na lahat para iayos sya at imotivate lalo sa pag aaral? Dyan ako halos mawalan na ng pag asa.. How can I push my kid to finish his work in school? His teachers said that he's smart but parang tamad na tamad sya magsulat at mabilis sya mawala sa focus nya.. I tried to give him a reward everytime na ok sya sa school pero the next day yan na naman. Naging strict narin ako pero ala parin.. What will I do mga momshies.. ??

Hi. At that age, it is difficult to get children to sit at one place and make them study. Also, rewarding them for studying does not work well, as that would be like rewarding them for something they are supposed to do anyway! The best way is to have a timetable and sticking to it no matter what. Don't overburden the child with hours of studies. And definitely reward good outcomes, like, say, good marks in exams.
