Is reward and punishment counted as positive parenting? How about time out?

On the whole, positive parenting and positive punishment involves adding a negative consequence after an undesired behavior happened to decrease future responses. Negative punishment includes taking away a certain desired item/reward after the undesired behavior happens in order to decrease future responses. Positive parenting is reinforce and motivate good behaviours we want to cultivate in our kids. I wouldnt say punishment rather to teach and not to reprimand.

rather than punishment, i prefer to explain why i forbid something or why i recommend something, giving evidance of what we said is important. sometimes when my child do wrong or bad thing that i have explain about it's consequenses n something bad happen to him i will say "see, what mom said? now u know why mom forbid u to do it don't u?" n the last thing, don't forget as parent we are the leader for our child. don't do bad thing that we forbid to our child.
