Recently my 1yo girl starts to panic & cry (screaming her lungs out) whenever i bring her on the bus or car. (Mrt is fine) especially when the vehicle started moving she will quickly hold on to me tightly & cry very loudly and in a panting way (really very afraid). It is especially when the vehicle is trying to accelerate or brake? when vehicle stopped at red lights shes calmed down. Could it be the engine sound or jerky movement? I tried standing on the bus few times n she seem less afraid and did not cry. Any tips to overcome this? But it is so weird because..ev morning my hubby sent her to infant care and shes alone at the car seat behind & shes totally fine!! Really puzzled by this behavior... p/s: the driver is always my hub & we are using the same car sometimes we bring her on grab cars and shes sometimes ok sometimes not ok too

Hi there. I think only u old know the proportion of trips hat are ok experience for your baby and those that are not ok. Sometimes it could be that they are cranky for a variety of reasons. There are a few things that you can try: 10 not sure how baby is being transported in the car or bus - if not in car seat, maybe u want to check if the baby is comfortable, straps too tight and if there is enough support for the baby. U can consider wearing baby in a wrap or a Carrie with baby facing inwards to u so that baby can feel more calm 2) you ca try to time ur trips, some times it could be their cranky hour as they are getting sleepy? 3) try to entertain baby 4) try white noise If you have tried the above and still not getting a good success, you should consider bringing the baby to a pd. Reflux, tummy upsets, motion sickness can be a few possible reasons. Motion sickness is usually not observed in less jerky rides like mrt but yes in buses and cars
